This video depicts precisely a huge chunk of answers regarding the lies, lies and more lies to where I was always scratching my head after hearing so many non-sensical answers to where he'd lie to the extent of further questions or explanations of his ridiculous answers……..getting stuck in lie after lie. It really is just another insane and unbelievable trait these monsters have. They also lie to make you think you're going crazy……Then, weeks later or whenever, I would hear him contradict himself, then lie again denying he ever told you that other lie! This life as an abuse victim by this crazy man is over after 14 years,. I'm cooked, fried and well- done. Making exit plan, divorce papers in the works, but I'm stuck under the same roof in separate rooms because he's lying about current finances, holding me financial hostage and loving every minute of it!

Good point that when they know you see through them and how fake they are and that it's all lies they run because they're so scared to be exposed and can't stand to face the truth which would break their fragile instable ego as they build their whole existence upon this fake image

Stories of lies from Narcissists? Wow, its just like you say, its the whole story. Stories, tales, lies, exagerrations and omissions is all they are, their is nothing else.
They are liars like their father the devil: John 8:44 – "Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof."
This is new to me. So I have questions. Are narcissist predators? Is it possible the one I knew sought me out, knowing fully well that his plan was to hurt me and leave?

Wow, again nailing it! My ex has lied to me so many times, not even understanding why he did it. "I don't know why I did that". He was flirting with women behind my back, even going out with one while we were trying to work things out. He eventually came "clean" when we got back together. I forgave him and took him back (again, narcs love people who are empathetic) but we are finally broken up for sure! now that I am educating myself thoroughly, I will never go back! Thank you!

This narcarooski was so enthralled in lying that he would story tell. Make up stories that he was in Vietnam and combat experiences. He was never in the military. I truly believe their fixation on lying becomes a psychosis. They also reference one thing for another for example if he wanted to indirectly tell me he was having sex with someone he would say I didn't get a chance to do do my karate today. It was a way of saying I didn't have sex today. Meanwhile he was withholding towards me….lol..

The thing is, that narcissist, really believe that they are unique! "NO ONE IS LIKE ME, I AM SPECIAL! PEOPLE ENVY ME…., WOMEN/MEN ALWAYS ARE ENTHRALLED WITH ME!! I AM THE GREATEST, AT EVERY THING I PUT MY MIND TO"!!!!!
I was in love with a narcissist! He NEVER said it back! I had to learn that narcissist are not truly capable of feeling, and conveying intimate emotions!! Only anger, and rage is the true emotion that they feel, and display!! They indeed MIMIC what we naturally express!!! I now fully understand that I am only a means of narcissistic supply!!!! I grew tired of being held responsible for his BAD behavior! He cheated, lied, emotionally, and mentally abused me! I drank, and smoked cigarettes…, heavily behind this experience! He has come back, to apologize! But still would blame me for leaving him in the first place!!! As you opened up with, they may admit to doing wrong! Only as a means of getting back in!! They desperately NEED narcissistic supply!

I've been following all your youTube videos. You really have an uncanny understanding of what makes a narcissist tic.

Mine used to talk of his lies, admitted he still told a few. and said he used to be not a nice person and he didnt want to be that ever again. hed tell rather tall tales and I knew most were not true. He talked of been a better person, how great it was this new person I was helping him become, oh how wonderful he found me. He acted like a little boy lost, I used to let so much go cause I thought he was sweet, But I began to notice that he could pour on the 'poor me' then could be quite mean and very confusing. he had more strength and bitterness aimed at me, yet I was also 'everything to him' . A very confusing energy draining 8 month.When i noticed behaviour in suchcontrast to what he was pretending I mentioned something to him and he ended it. Now hes got a new victim.
How does the narcissist feel once u go no contact? Do they become afraid of you or do we make them nervous?
I do not have the words that will express how this message was delivered to me at exactly the right time. And you are absolutely right when u said if you begin to expose the Narc, he/she will cut u out of their life. They know that most people are too polite to tell them that they don't believe them, but people aren't as stupid as the narc wishes they were. My son's live in girlfriend tells the BIGGEST whoppers…..An example of lying when she doesn't even have to is to say that she has lived in all the lower 48 states (she is only 31) and that she has saved 96,000 for her 8 year old son, she has two degrees (though she is a telemarketer) and the list goes on and on. If it were not for my son (who for some reason indulges her) who is not ready to end this relationship I would confront her because it's not just lies….she likes to play mind games with passive aggression which I detest. However, I live in another state so I'm not having to deal with it on a daily basis.
I like how you keep videos on knowledge & analysis, without letting emotion, anger, or personal feelings influence the tone of your videos. It keeps it more educational feeling, with the science, knowledge, and understanding of Narcissism being shared. When to many people let the anger & emotion from being a target/victim influence the tone of their videos, it often loses focus of factual understanding of Narcissism.

Why make it complicated ? They lie because they function like that, because they have a lot to hide, because they live in the secret of their minds, because there is an iceberg of non truths under what you can see, because they have done shitty stuff to many people before moving on, because it destabilizes people, because they make short term profits and long term plans to exploit people's naivety, because they get a buzz from not getting caught etc etc ….

Before i knew what my ex narc was, i used to wonder about the lying. It infuriated me that he told sooo many lies. Even when he didn't need to. He'd lie about what time he finished work, or what he even had for lunch. Omg! Ive never met anyone who just lied so damn much. There was no point even arguing with him about it. He'd just deflect the conversation. Drove me insane!! Thank God for divorce!! I am now happily single!! Great vid, and explanation thank you. :)
and thats why so many narcs chill with druggies and addicts and weak people who were abused as kids coz broken people are to fecked up to notice narcs are boring and backstabbing cowards.
the narc lacks integrity, so lying offers them a sense of liberation, and the confusion they create in others provides entertainment and a sense of superiority. getting the truth out of a narc is like picking hens teeth. they lie, and they stir up the appropriate emotions in themselves to underscore the lie, they lie on an emotional level, to back up the lie in word.
It makes no sense. So a long term spouse who lives with them day in and day out never sees their weaknesses and vulnerabilities? So a Narcissist keeps up a facade 24/7 with their spouse? There are a lot of women who have been married many many years to a Narcissist. How does that work then?

My covert narc lied to me about his name for the 1st 3 yrs I knew him, then I came to learn he lied about his entire identity 7 yrs into the 'friendship'. I never in my life experienced such a thing. Why? I kept wondering. He never had any answer.
Well done. Good analysis of the lying situation. My husband couldn't stop lying. It was like some kind of joke with him. Like you said, when the truth would have been more efficient or easier, he still lied. He is not doing too well though. He has a colostomy bag and is getting worse because of drugs and strippers. I think he finally outsmarted himself.
I find that the chronic envy has a lot to do with it as well. Like male narcs will lie to compete with other male narcs. So if someone says "I just benched 50 kilos how much do you bench? "They might say "oh yeah about 45 " when really its 30. They can't handle someone actually experiencing or having the fantasy life they dream of in their head… so will lie almost to compete with them and not have to experience the humiliation of being or having less than them. They also lie depending on who they are speaking to… I've had one guy tell me that nothing sexual happened on a first date…and I am in a relationship so he had nothing to lose or gain by telling me what happened…but 10 minutes later we were speaking to an overt narc "player'' type guy who sleeps with a lot of women and he told him that he DID sleep with her! So sometimes it depends on the imagined status of the person they are talking to whether they lie or not.
Lies work better in the Narcs eyes because it provides instant gratification with no work involved. Lie, play the part and everyone believes it. That's the Narcs motto!
