Hard to set boundries here since he does not mention negative traits just and mostly the positive traits that define narcissistic paranoid. It seems to me that there must be a good overlap of many traits with other diagnosis.
Narcissistic paranoia is pretending to not want the attention you think you're getting.
I understand how you feel, but they are indeed brutally human. understanding them more is understanding how the human mind fragments itself to gain egoic ground. not only to be "right" but to manifest itself into existence in the first place. egoic fixation is truly the root of it. I had no idea NPD folks felt paranoia. I had no idea they were paranoid that people were out to get them in this way. but makes perfect sense.
This entire time I assumed the N I know thought only negative thoughts about himself because of the things he talks about (he's not attractive enough, he not good enough in bed, he doesn't work, he's a loser, and etc.), but now I see this is his way of gaining Narcissistic Supply. He'll even cut himself before we hang out then wear shirts that show off his forearm with the cuts to make me upset. If I become too concerned or try to hug him he'll pull away& go back home because I'm acting "crazy."

What do you mean in terms of the paranoid narcissits ending…as in his literal death, or that aspect if his ego that dies. ·······and would that situation be beneficial in anyway

I agree. Some of them may even say that they are not the ones that are like that. The people they have exploited are according to them.
@TruTV …Maybe,but would that change anything? The portrayal in the media,over many decades,of extremely Negative,Abusive Personalities,from Mafia types to Sleazy Politicians has had little or no effect in discouraging or preventing New Crops of these Opportunistic Crooks from continually arising!!!
