  1. I am forthwith going to submit to the DSMV that we change the name of this disorder to "Jackass Personality Disorder". Greek mythology is way to deep and sacred to be associated with these creatures and their tomfoolery!!!

  2. I want to change myself

  3. After one month of watching these videos, my entire perspective has changed. I think all professionals that work with abuse victims should definitely watch these videos.

  4. First question is do the majority of sociopaths realise they have a false self?

  5. You should research Devadatta, a disciple of the Buddha.  He was the most extreme narcissist.

  6. Haha mine called this "evolution" and that he'd never go back to being the "sheep like human leading meaningless life". He's well aware of his actions and the meaning and origins behind them, but this is EXACTLY it. He loves his disorder and would never give it up for nothing.
    I left him :o)

  7. @GSD55 That's right…get down on your knees and worship!

  8. LOL. Well I'll be……!! There TRUELLY is no way to cure a narcissist.

  9. I love gazing at my naval

  10. I think the very best thing anyone can do for someone with this form of a mental handicap is to love them by way of praying for them to Jesus to heal, while asking others to pray for them as well.

  11. Most Americans are circumcised. This could PARTIALLY explain why they are SO SELF centered.

  12. Surely there could be a way of changing a persons perception of the world or is the Narcissit unable to do this?

  13. Is it best to just give up on a Narcissit or is it better to try and understand and help, i know by ignoring the narcissit it causes more damage than good but what can be done if they done even tho you know there troubled it's a catch 22 situation in my opinion what do you think Sam i'd like to hear what you think. Great informative videos by the way.

  14. Example of this know-it-all: My step father only went to 3rd grade. He could barely read. Yet, never having read a single page in the Bible, he claimed to be an expert at what was contained in it. He LOVED to argue it and any other subject, for that matter. Is this also common, always looking for a fight and instigating one? It was his MO.

  15. fantastic. 2:00 – 3:00 !!!

  16. Right on. Expose these self-inflated people for who they are.

  17. What you said is illogical.
It is basically confirmation that emphatic people want other people to be emphatic too, because why else they should care if other have empathy or not?

how about demands to remember birthdays or other useless nonsense which is very important to someone. It definitely require strong emphatic skills to imagine how important is wedding anniversary for your wife or birthday greeting to your mother if these things have zero value to you, but for then they are priceless.

  18. Well, probably I am living that way for all my life, not so much fun but way better than if i attempted to be who I am.
Sometimes you have to trade something for something, you cant have everything.

  19. empathic people dont try to make others empathic they just cant believe that anyone is incapable of empathy

  20. heey thats right! i never thought of it!everyone should just pretend to be someone else and everything would be perfect lol

  21. It is true that narcissist demands other to act like them but that what everyone does, people with empathy demand other to act emphatic too.
so in result if narcissist pretends to be emphatic, his partner must pretend being narcissist to live happy life, but there is no need to act like narcissist with everyone.

Thats what we all do all time: pretending to be like everyone to avoid rejection.

  22. well according to SV if he is a narc guess who made him that way….?

  23. thats the problem – they encourage everyone else to become just like them – exploitative and self serving. Life is tough enough even with other people who do have empathy, we dont need more narcs!!!

  24. what are you talking about? animals DO have empathy!!!

  25. evolution does not have any goal if reptile brain gives you advantage over human brain it is superior.
I think it is quite easy to tell who is narcissist and who is not. Narcissists do not con anyone that much, you can diagnose them at first meeting. However people love narcissistic behavior, narcissist has much higher chances to win people hearts than anyone else. Many popular movie characters are narcisists.

  26. Of course you can live without it. It works fine for the narcissist, it just sucks for everyone else around them. The analogy misses the point that humans are supposedly evolved beyond the brain of a reptile. However, I do believe that the real problem is usually when a narcissist presents him/herself as "normal." When they behave like con artists, manipulating and using others' feelings for their own benefit while wearing a mask. I don't see that as "smart." It's the mind of a criminal.

  27. Why do you thing empathy is essential? You can live great without it and it is not required for interactions at all. Lack of conscience or empathy is great strength, since it allows you to exploit other people for your own gain and that is useful.

I don't thing narcissistic behavior is somehow evil, because victim itself is guilty for believing that narcissist is "human" you wouldn't call your pet alligator evil for biting your hand, narcissist must be treated same way as alligator.

  28. The ability to feel empathy is essential to human interaction. If you remove that, you remove a basic quality that defines a "person." So yes, I agree narcissists are more like animals than the traditional definition of people, however, their evil comes from behavior that isn't simply instict, but cognisant thought combined with no respect for others. Frankly, because they aren't like others. They lack a conscience, which to them, is a weakness in the human condition, instead of a strength.

  29. I not talking about that but it is condition equivalent to the loss of pain sense for example. if one looses ability to feel pain, you hardly can call it illness.

We should say that narcissists are different kind of animals that only look like humans but operates in completely different ways.
These people are not so bad if you use them properly.

  30. I don't pretend to know the inner mind of a narcissist, true that what is "mentally ill" or not is really a continuum and not a black and white definition. And true that it probably develops as a defense mechanism and cure for other mental problems. But ultimately, who cares? And do we care WHY a narcissist abuses people? The self-love of a narcissist is all consuming. They don't care about anyone else, and it's pointless to care about them because they'll only use that to their advantage.

  31. I cant thing any specific method, but it can be in same way how schizoid-cynical personality develops in normal people.
If narcissist accept objective fact that his grandiose fantasies are either completely worthless and will not bring any happiness, or that they cannot be achieved.
he should stop wasting his effort on them, and just live in the fantasy world thinking how nice it would be but it wont happen in reality.

  32. That is not good definition of mental illness. Illness is when you think that you have some problem.

narcissism is just opposite, it is a cure for another mental problems, but it has quite terrible side effects.

  33. This is because you expect that narcissistic woman must be same as narcissist man.
narcissism in when you think what others will think about me if I do that or that. and women are very sensitive to opinion of other people. very often they do whatever they can to maintain that opinion for no practical reason.

  34. Life is hard even for normal people, and if you somehow manage to remove narcissism from narcissist you will end with defenseless human caricature which will revert to narcissism next day.
a way to cure narcissist is to replace narcissism with schizoid personality. which is almost same as narcissism but not abusive, and probably even better than normal personality.
