Sickening, beautifully written and oh so accurate. I'm currently ignoring a narcissist who is now a former lover and friend. He's sixty years old and is in a relationship with a twenty year old who has emotional issues. He's also seeing a crazy woman, and going after a nineteen year old. The more I ignore him he's been going into meltdown mode. He's disgusting.

omg, at first, the letter seemed to resonate with me. Even your voice/those words melded with 'his', and again I was smitten ~ if only for a moment. Then 'his' voice and words illustrated our choppy, horrific ending. My self-esteem was broken, I had offered (w/o realizing) my own self as a prop for his narcissism! This was 2 yrs ago, my trust levels are gone. Thank you for your series here. it's already dusting off what looks like a final ray of hope in repairing, by understanding and recognizing where, why and how much we differed. Thank you very much!

holy shit ive been with some bizarre women and had to run. that letter gave me cold chills. i wouldnt be able to fall asleep around that girl. ill be damned if i serve three tours and survive multiple engagements to come home and be poisoned. tragic. that woman has no sense of self. a simple i love you and you make me feel good. i think your really awesome and fun would have sufficed. she took those points to a crazy level.

It's so Easy to spot a Narc once you've been broken by one. THE tiniest little red flag and i go to town when' a girlfriend says she had an argument with this guy, her boyfriend. I ask what and it's AlWAYS, no it's probably nothing I'm making a big deal out of nothin really..
