No. Tricks don't work on narcissists. They can see through it and will use it against you. The only way to piss off a narcissist is to become a whole strong person. It will repel them. They will disappear.

It really is the best remedy. Making them mad. They want to mess with me when I am doing nothing wrong then watch out cause here it comes. I love the moment when they realize they have admitted their own guilt. When they realize I am smarter and nothing they say upsets me.
THANK YOU!!! Lol, I've been doing this with my mom for years. Not on purpose – it came more from a place "Could you please just like me? Please?" But now, it makes so much sense that she gets so quiet, and then gets that suuuuper fake voice of "Oh, that's great!" Of course, after that, she tries to one up me. That kind of "Oh, I already do that" or "I already know that". Which is such bullshit.
I kinda love now knowing that it actually is pissing her off. I've been learning so much about the dance she does, and how she just can't get narcissistic supply from me anymore. I love videos like this, because they show me where I am great at standing up and not letting her bullshit in, and when I'm taking the bait.

If you're out and keeping No Contact, though, don't break it to do this. That'll just set you back. I read everywhere that No Contact with them and their chums is the best way – it's the only way to become sane and free. And that is true. I broke No Contact recently and I very much regret it – not for the ex's sake, but for my own.
This might work against a garden variety narc but a true psycho will praise you back and be happy.. Other times these dudes just may kill you in your sleep..

I've been raised and surrounded by wolves, but learned what it is..they are narcs. my ex is one ..no wonder.. and this video gave me a good laugh when u said to brag a little.. if i ever celebrated barely any progress, ever.. ive seen their envious glare – straight blackened eyes, I'd see..and always thought as a child and as adult, they arent happy for me.i rejoice with and for my children. now they groomed me to never get away and that the whole world was bad.. so sad. ..its not..but i learned little by little and you also encouraged me with this. thank u ♡
I dont really agree with this video from personal experience. I have 3 bestfriends in my life that I have been friends with for 7-8 years – 1 male sociopath (hardened criminal – prone to violence) and 2 female overt narcissists (Upper class – lives of emptying mens wallets like leeches and vampires for attention. They have left a trail of broken men financially and mentally – and even 1 suicide in their path). I self praise and talk alot about my accomplishments in life and they approve of it and support it. I do that sometimes and he just gets All pissed Off and says (with a smirk) "Good for you" <<< he AAlwsys says the same old Thing, how Lame!! then I'm All "YessirReee!! I just Looove My Beeeeautiful self and my Wonderful Creative Talent!!" Haha!!! But after that I pretty much know that something I own will turn up missing or he might just break it or even hide it. Or he might trash my room! Or mix up all my beads and art work and throw away the jewelry I just made. He has done just about everything to hurt me and he's just getting Worse too. so after 16 Looong years of marriage I fffinnally got a restraining order against His ASS!! He was in a complete Panic and he started sneeking in the house and my children and I would find really strange items around the house. one night after my son's baseball game we came home and the moment I opened up the door there was a Horrible Strong smell of Urine coming from the kitchen. . . which led is to the garage. Sure enough we found a couple pairs of this kaki pants hidden behind some clutter. I immediately opened up the garage door and threw them out in the big roll away garbage bin. He is a complete Psychopath and he's trying to kill me through black Magic!! I just found out that he even got life insurance on my children and I and nothing for himself. Yesssss so true my mother is jealous and she loves my low self esteem. If I have ever tried to feel good she shuts me down. If I have ever praised myself she tells me to shut up in so many words, glares, give me the evils. She smiles when I put myself down though
