My narcasistic was burned severely second degree on his chest and face ! A car over heated and him having no knowledge of car's. Opened the hood and the antifreeze exploded on his face and upper torso. He didn't have health insurance and came to me as I work with a Dr was advised to apply antibacterial creams and take antibiotics. We were not living together at the time. But it was my duty to care for him. He should of gone to a emergency room or burn unit but refused. for a week I applied the cream and watched over him 24/7 . He took no pain medication as he felt no pain and that was a sign of weakness.! after no cure I took him to a burn hospital and he said you can leave me here and leave! I refused he was so severely burned the hospital staff was astonished as his burn was severe and they could not believe he didn't take any pain medication and had taken the pain so long! it was infected and he was placed in the Icu unit. he was them washed and suffered severe pain! he withstood the pain and asked to be discharged before he was supposed to. he said I can take it I don't need to be here. at the moment I knew I was dealing with an alien form person that had no feeling or fear. his appearance was henceforth and didn't take it well! he later healed and was back at his selfish self. he said I didn't need Dr's I only went to please you. it's it's a crazy thought to endure so much pain and never complain. he said pain has nothing on me ! wow
In a cold, uncaring universe isn't narcissism a coping mechanism?
Now I realize how much my ex narc hated my five yr old daughter when she was diagnosed with Leukemia….I am glad he is gone. After her diagnosis, his emotional abuse increased noticeably. While I was dealing with the hardest part of her illness, he was constantly having tantrums. I am glad he is gone from our lives now. He couldn't deal with her illness, and eventually started to become envious of the attention and donations she received. It was unbearable to believe a middle age man would be envious of a five yr old sick child.
This explains why my ex completely left me while I was ill for over a month in hospital. I have long term health issues still and he has completely cut me out of his life.
Mine blames me for his Diabetes, because Im not taking care of him properly. Anytime we argue he says that Im trying to kill him. He had a pain in his shoulder and swears he had a mini stroke. Anytime he want you to stop disagreeing with his view point he bring up his ministroke that he " thinks" he had. Never went to the doctor to check it out. Wouldn't a normal person go for such a serious thing? He's full of games.
My religious Narcissist believes he was punished for being" wicked" but the problem is much of the behavior that he was displaying before he got sick is still very much active. He hasn't changed but actually got worse.
Exaggerated helplessness was my narc's line of defense along with trying to destroy me, her caregiver because my life was just way too "nice and easy" for this elderly, bitter, hateful person who just cannot accept that she ONLY gets about 90 years on planet Earth. For someone who has never had surgery of any kind, who is never in any pain and has not suffered any tragedies in her long life……it is unbelievable to me that she behaves as if she is being singled out for special punishment simply because she is mortal, just like everyone else.

I am amazed still how much information you give based on the types of narcissism are different in characters . Its almost like each has its own fingerprint and behavior patterns .. Thru this I am so sure mine is covert down to the finest details and Only i knew this about him such as incest in his family… He has all the elements of covert but that behavior was one i was not aware of til i watched your videos .. thank U so much for all the work u do

My x NPD husband, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, went into a full blown rage, especially against women he had past relationships with, including myself, after his diagnoses. Im not sure, why..or what, he was doing it for, but..he was acting a narcissistic fool! He's no longer here now…so, maybe that's the end of me being stalked, harassed, by a NP!! i certainly hope so!

My spouse has used his chronic exaggerated illnesses for years to control and be the main focus in our family. He is extremely selfish. He is a narc and is a paranoid schizophrenic. Sams videos have literally saved my life. My ex spouse soon to be has threathen and grabbed me before in which i thought in his rage and delusions would kill me. I do not live with my ex spouse to be. I have forgiven him and i am ready to move on. I have come along way in grieving the so called person i thought i married and the dead dreams. Thank you Sam for helping me save my life and regain my strength to let go and be set free to go forward in life.

Thank you! for these videos, it has helped me understand the behavior of my close relative. It all makes sense now. I have finally moved on. These people are very toxic and can hurt many people in so many ways. It amazes me how controlling and selfish they can be. I have watched all of your videos on this topic and it is as if you are describing that person without knowing them. Thank you again.
