First phone call with a narcissist about Mother’s Day. My mother has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It has crippled our family for years. So does my father. My mother was estranged from her mother and then when Nana died, she demanded stuff from the estate. I was executor of the will. She accused me of a lot of things I didn’t do and then rang 4 months after funeral to whine she hadn’t got a Mother’s Day present from me. I loved my grandmother, she was an amazing person. My mother abused her too. In this phone call, she starts out She starts by saying how amazing her golden child daughter is and the rest is filled with denial, accusations, lies, cover ups, name calling, bad mouthing, gas lighting (she calls me sick in the head 11 times in different ways) and I was doing well until right at the end when she finally nails me and I’m a mess.
