  1. This song never got the credit it deserves

  2. By far the best song on the album

  3. We're talking about Peter here, the only person left who unironically says Albion. I think using 'colours' is pretty mandatory in this context.

  4. Much as I love Doherty I feel I should point out Carl Barat wrote this one! (Just Carl Barat, no Doherty co-writing credit)

  5. "We're living in a looking glass
As the beauty of life goes by" describes instagram

  6. The Dorian Grey reference just made my day.

  7. @tsukixan I did the opposite 😀

  8. Potty pete docherty isa natural modern day poet fukit it i may b so bold al say prophet 😉

  9. @OriginalShrimpVendor they're too "brutal" to be ramones imo, it's more of a light, emotion-focused clash imo.

  10. @alissewonder Lmao, Winner!

  11. @alissewonder Congratulations, my friend. You are unaware that British and American English are not the same.

  12. @alissewonder Congratulations , my friend you cannot spell colours

  13. @calvin799 Congratulations, my friend. You are able to identify colors.

  14. 3 white guys and 1 black man im just saying

  15. I'd never want to be poor Dorian. It'd speak poorly for my choice of friends….

  16. Don't get offended YouTube… But they remind me of a gayer version of The Smiths mixed with the Ramones. xD I still like em' though. Morressey loved Oscar Wilde too…

  17. U failed. It's "Narcissist" not "Narcist". But the song is so fuckin' great !

    Thanks for uploading, though 🙂

  18. @covenantofgrace100 Yeah because The Kinks were booming with originality and not copying The Beatles or the Small Faces at all were they…Haha. Idiot.

  19. @00britney It doesn't sound anything like you really got me! I've never heard anyone say that before.

  20. @covenantofgrace100 what? the libertines can go from the darkness of Plan A to the light of Seven Deadly Sins, from the pure energy of Skag and Bone Man to the calm of Radio America. i haven't heard any other band do this, every band has influences but the libertines are more original than most while remaining great

  21. I'm writing a song about a narcissist at the moment and proud 🙂

  22. listen to "you really got me" by the kinks. it seems like the libs kinda wrote narcissist while listening to it.

  23. @TheFriedLiverAttack Don't worry, I'm not religious in any way. What I meant: He puts on "masks". First impressions are good and nice and then, some get hurt by him. I was writing in metaphors, wasn't meant to be taken literally. 🙂

  24. @indyk91 wow i never heard that one before lol.

  25. @pinkmoonmist post-modern punk revival

  26. they was really one of the best bands since the british rockinvasion of the sixties …. so many different styles of music.

  27. I think this is about narcissism and Dorian Gray as a metaphor for this disorder. Narcissists tend to view themselves as something special and wonderful, thus they act like someone they are really not. Their inner psyche is emotionally blunt and their overall conduct is cruel towards others. Just like Dorian who looks wonderful but the more you know him,the more you know he's not what he looks like to be and his picture is the proof of his tainted true self. Metaphorically…

  28. Thumbs up if you think this is fantastic!!!!!!!! 😀

  29. @ciaracustard It does happen a lot. In fact, I'm going to look up that song right now thanks to you ;D

  30. @ciaracustard Omg I guess you'd be really thankful to the Libertines for helping you discover such a thrilling book 😀

  31. @jessicasydneyy I looked it up and there's really a Dorian Gray syndrome – it's another name for the Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

  32. @DannyWalton92 Yes, I agree. It's awesome they named a real disorder after DOrian Gray. Was it another name for narcissism? Can'r remember very well, although I read about it once…

  33. @jessicasydneyy.. yeah oscar wilde's awesome, carl's actually talking about Dorian Gray syndrome…

  34. @tsukixan It's actually about Dorian Gray syndrome…
