How you approached the assignment and what you hoped to achieve?
I approached the assignment with an open mind, not really knowing how I was going to go about getting my point across. What I hoped to achieve was to get across a character who is a sociopath who doesn’t have any regard for other human’s lives.
Why is the subject matter interesting to you?
As I said in my first project, I always find mental or psychological pieces interesting and I love playing around with those themes in my work.
What was your shooting and editing strategy?
My shooting strategy was to mostly shoot in a way that was just observing the main character until the end when I did a few first person shots to get a more intimate feel to the scene. As for editing I again used fast paced, jump-cuts to help develop the scatter-brained mind of the character.
What creative aspect, or approach, did you explore?
This film lies somewhere between just a normal fiction about some sociopath and a weird experimental film that’s theme might not come across to everybody.
