Phreaker is the story of Mike Wellman, a blind, lonely teenager who discovers telephone party lines and quickly becomes a “phreaker”. As he learns to manipulate the telecommunications system he gains respect, resources, and power, but quickly morphs from a neglected kid into a criminal sociopath. As he loses control of himself, he attracts the attention of the FBI’s cyber squad.
